The practitioners behind the practice.

The Readiness Laboratory is led by two consultants who have spent decades inside the kinds of organizations we now help. We’ve managed the rollouts, navigated the resistance, and rebuilt the teams. The frameworks we teach come from the work itself.

Adrea Peters

People-First Leader • The Science of Story

Adrea Peters helps leaders, teams, and organizations move through complexity with more clarity, trust, humanity, and momentum. With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare information systems, enterprise transformation, strategic advisory, product management, and large-scale implementation, she has built her career at the intersection of people, systems, and change. She’s served as a strategic advisor, solution architect, implementation leader, chief project officer, consultant, speaker, and trusted partner to organizations navigating high-stakes transformation.

But what defines Adrea most isn’t simply the work she’s led — it’s how she leads. Adrea is a people-first leader. She believes the best work happens when people feel seen, respected, trusted, and safe enough to tell the truth. Her approach begins with the human beings in the room: their pressure, their patterns, their strengths, their exhaustion, their hopes, their fears, and their natural way of contributing. She holds herself accountable to model the clarity, steadiness, honesty, respect, and courage she expects from others.

Adrea believes meaningful change doesn’t come from forcing people into better performance. It comes from creating the conditions where people can return to themselves, contribute with confidence, and shine as who they already are. To Adrea, leadership isn’t only about mindset — it’s about heart-set: the quality of presence, courage, compassion, accountability, and trust that allows a leader to steady a room, hear what isn’t being said, and help people move forward without losing themselves.

Through The Readiness Lab, Adrea helps teams understand the hidden patterns shaping performance — where decisions stall, trust erodes, ownership blurs, communication becomes performative, and good people quietly burn out. Her approach is direct, compassionate, and practical. She doesn’t believe people need to be fixed, reshaped, or squeezed into someone else’s model of success. She believes people shine when they’re deeply understood, honestly supported, and allowed to contribute from the truth of who they are.
